ASSET store update 📄 With the increasing pressure of the bear market and ongoing royalty situation, plans are becoming increasingly difficult for us to successfully roll out and run a full ASSET store the way we originally anticipated. The plan was always that royalties from Legends would help self fund stock and merch for the ASSET store but as you guys know we have already added additional utility to ASSET by way of regular Blaze listings and have our new auction smart contract ready be rolled out imminently which should level the playing field for future ASSET listings. We feel with increased ASSET listings on Blaze for 1/1s the ASSET store v1 will continue to operate out of Blaze for the foreseeable future. Transparency is something that we value highly and that is why we wanted to clarify the ASSET store situation as it currently stands to hopefully clear any doubts and avoid any inaccurate expectations. We have learnt a lot around the logistics of working with the athletes with signed goods, shipping costs and merch with the Pereira store and at this time we need to be smart about where we deploy all of our resources. We have spent a lot of time and money building out the ASSET store with a smart contract that functions with 'check out' functionality but given the current climate and amount of tech we are building, including potentially a cross-chain move imminently the decision has this morning been made that the ASSET store would not currently be a sustainable business operation or priority moving forward.
